  43. Modern society owes much to a mystical technology known as
  44. "orbal energy." Fifty years ago, during what's come to be known
  45. as the "Orbal Revolution," the invention of this technology and
  46. the "orbments" developed from it led to a period of rapid human
  47. advancement, birthing innovations of all shapes and sizes -- not
  48. the least of which was the airliner, or "orbalship" industry.
  49. Although the positive impact of this revolution is obvious,
  50. every coin has a flipside; for every beneficial device developed
  51. with these new materials, so too were advanced weapons and other
  52. implements of war. Thus, the land became mired with turmoil, and
  53. remains in such a state even now.
  54. Enter, the bracers: an organization established to serve as
  55. police and intermediaries alike, holding above all else the
  56. peace and safety of the lands under their jurisdiction. Whenever
  57. a citizen is in need of assistance, he or she may place a
  58. request at the local Bracer Guild -- and be it monster
  59. extermination, crime prevention or even peace talks among
  60. warring nations, the bracers will do whatever they can to
  61. resolve the matter cleanly and efficiently.
  62. Some matters require a gentler touch than others, however. When
  63. an orbalship transporting a legendary "S-rank" bracer named
  64. Cassius Bright suddenly goes missing, said bracer's daughter,
  65. Estelle, and adoptive son, Joshua, must join forces in search of
  66. him across the entire Kingdom of Liberl.
