  121. AnyDVD works in the background to automatically remove the
  122. copy protection of a DVD movie as soon as it's inserted into
  123. the drive, allowing you then to backup the movie using a DVD
  124. backup tool such as CloneDVD and CloneDVD mobile. You can
  125. also remove the RPC region code, thereby making the movie
  126. region free and viewable on any DVD player and with any DVD
  127. player software.
  129. AnyDVD is capable of removing unwanted movie features,
  130. including subtitles and prohibition messages such as
  131. copyright and FBI warnings. It also allows you to launch an
  132. external application whenever you insert or remove a disc, or
  133. prevent 'PC-friendly' software from automatically launching
  134. when you insert a video DVD.
  136. Decryption is not all that AnyDVD offers. You can control the
  137. drive speed of your DVD drive, allowing you to reduce the
  138. noise level when watching movies on your PC. You can even
  139. adjust the display frequency of your monitor for both NTSC
  140. and PAL displays.
  142. But AnyDVD doesn't just stop at DVDs, it also fixes
  143. intentionally broken audio CDs to allow you to play and copy
  144. them.
  146. AnyDVD HD comes with same functionality as AnyDVD, but with
  147. additional features for full Blu-ray and HD DVD support,
  148. including Blu-ray and HD DVD movies.
