  38. |  ôConstellationsö is heavier, more technical, faster and more diverse      |
  39. |  than any August Burns Red album to come out yet. I was managing my        |
  40. |  expectations when August Burns Red announced ôConstellationsö because I   |
  41. |  loved ôMessengersö, I didnÆt know if they could pull it off twice in a    |
  42. |  row. Well, call me Doubting Thomas, because they not only met my          |
  43. |  expectations they blew them out of the water. August Burns Red has        |
  44. |  progressed into one of the finest Metal bands today.                      |

  46. |  Jake has a very similar guttural scream that he did on ôMessengersö, but  |
  47. |  with more range in ôConstellationsö. As you listen to this CD you will    |
  48. |  discover JakeÆs talent and range and how it fits perfectly in with the    |
  49. |  metal riffs, solos, heart-pounding drums, and ABRÆs signature             |
  50. |  breakdowns. Speaking of the breakdowns, they are faster and more complex  |
  51. |  than any previous ABR projects. I found myself being captured by the      |
  52. |  breakdowns, they are catchy, groovy and just flat out epic. Through out   |
  53. |  ôConstellationsö you will be surprised and excited by the diversity this  |
  54. |  band offers, especially in the building up of a song. And speaking of     |
  55. |  building up, that is one thing August Burns Red has perfected - the art   |
  56. |  of climax. They do this by creating a series of unexpected events - they  |
  57. |  will tone the tempo of a song down, throw in piano, bring out a guitar    |
  58. |  melting solo, and yes, they will even sing. That is why this is August    |
  59. |  Burns RedÆs most diverse and most promising album to date.                |

  61. |  On the lyrical side of life, it seems as though ABR has brought it up a   |
  62. |  notch - each song is poetic and uses analogies and metaphors to describe  |
  63. |  an experience or a struggle we face daily. An example of this is from     |
  64. |  the song ôThirty and Sevenö. ôWhat will you become, what will become of   |
  65. |  you. Your mind is the mountain before you. YouÆve reached the summit,     |
  66. |  now transcend the skies.ö From the song ôThe Escape Artistö there is a    |
  67. |  line Jake screams ôyour mouth is like a grenadeö. These are just a        |
  68. |  couple of examples to wet your appetite.                                  |

  70. |  ôMetalö has been assaulted by a variety of variations over the year, but  |
  71. |  one thing ABR does that no other band has is keeping ôMetalö original     |
  72. |  and not falling in with the fad that has seemed to take over the metal    |
  73. |  genre. Know this: August Burns Red has created an Epic piece of music     |
  74. |  that will take metal to a whole new level. You will not be disappointed.  |
