1. In the Assembly there are different ways to install Windows.
  2. Some installation methods, including using add-ons, painted in the file 2k10\GRUB4DOS\WINXP.txt and in 2k10\Programs-2k10\-Help\2k10-FAQ.chm. Here is one of them.
  3. Installing Windows 7/8/10 with the stick from the folder _WIN\
  4. Download and unzip the addon ~2k10-WIN7-10~ on a flash drive/HDD. Folder _WIN\ must be in the root of the stick/HDD. Copy from your image with Windows 7/8/10 from the Sources file install.wim/install.esd/install.swm in the appropriate subfolder of the addon according to the edition of Windows 7/8/10:
  5. for Windows 7 x86 -> folder _WIN\7x32
  6. for Windows 7 x64 -> folder _WIN\win 7x64
  7. for Windows 7 x86-x64 -> folder _WIN\7AIO
  8. Windows 8 x86 -> folder _WIN\8132
  9. for Windows 8 x64 -> folder _WIN\8164
  10. Windows 8 x86-x64 -> folder _WIN\8AIO
  11. Windows 10 x86 -> folder _WIN\1032
  12. Windows 10 x64 -> folder _WIN\1064
  13. Windows 10 x86-x64-> folder _WIN\10AIO
  14. To throw, if any, the folder is $OEM$ file unattend.xml (for Windows builds).
  15. Menu/submenu Grub4Dos "DOS-Windows install" the addon will automatically appear.
  16. In BCD-menu and EFI BCD menu it is already registered.
  17. Folder _WIN setup files/Windows may be located under any drive/partition of your HDD/USB-HDD.
  18. You can also install the files install.wim/esd/swm selecting the 78Setup utility window using the button "Sel&ct archive manually" (file install.wim/esd/swm) for installation.
  19. Add your own images installation CDs of Windows 7/8/10 folder _WIN, _ISO, 2k10\User.Image.
  20. The first image in the list will be displayed in the utility window 78Setup.
  21. Other images can be selected and run by pressing the button "Choose image manually".
  22. Note:
  23. For Windows installations, there are two boot8x86.wim bootloaders & boot8x64.wim
  24. With the (x86) bootloader, you install Windows of any bit depth from any subfolder (only in Legacy BIOS boot mode).
  25. With the (x64) bootloader, only (x64) -bit Windows is installed (in the Legacy BIOS boot mode and in the EFI / UEFI boot mode).
  26. In EFI / UEFI boot mode, using the boot8x64.wim bootloader, you can only install (x64) -bit Windows and only on a disk with GPT markup.
  27. If you do not need to install in EFI / UEFI boot mode, then in general you can use only (x86) the boot8x86.wim boot loader.
