1. Update 3:
  2. We changed day and night on your request. Now, day is longer, and night is 2 time shorter.
  3. Previously, day and night was the same.
  4. Also, now when it rains at night, it's overcast.
  6. We changed option "Foliage" (in video menu). Previously, if you turn off foliage and want to turn it on again, you need to start new game. Now you can continue your progress, but we recommend you to go to area where there are no trees, like beach, save game, turn on foliage, and continue your progress.
  7. The reason why you need to do this is because there's a chance that you will be spawned in tree.
  8. Also we recommend you to do backup of your save game files if you want to turn on foliage again, so you can't lost your progress if something goes wrong.
  10. For those who don’t know, when you turn off foliage, forest is quite reduced, and there is no wind for trees and grass.
  12. Update 2:
  13. Now fruit gives you water, so you have more chances to survive and not to dehydrate.
  14. Also we changed resources needed for crafting shelter, raft and campfire. Now is easier to collect items.
  16. We solved the bug when the cutscene starts and you accidentally press Interact (F) key to drive while you are on raft. This caused your scales set to zero and you can’t progress further.
  18. We changed default settings when you start game for the first time or if you deleted settings file. Previously was set to high presets, and now is low to medium presets in order to avoid crash at the beginning. So check video settings and tweak them.
  19. You can always run game benchmark to see how the game performs on your configuration.
  21. If you are running game on ultra settings, be sure to check resolution scale is set to 100% to be able to experience best from game graphics.
  23. Update 1:
  24. For those who can’t run game, or game is crashing at beginning or when you press “New game”, we put different settings file in game folder with instructions (YourSteamLibrary\steamapps\common\TropicalEscape\Settings),
  25. with low, medium, and high presets, because default settings for game is set to high.
  27. Be sure to check that you have required Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable and DirectX
  28. (YourSteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Tropical Escape\_CommonRedist).
  30. Even then if game still crashing install UE4 Prerequisites Setup (YourSteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Tropical Escape\Engine\Extras\Redist\en-us).
  32. Loading time may increase with lower PC configurations. When “Loading screen” appears, it looks like it’s frozen but be patient. The same goes for “Black screen” at beginning after UE4 logo.
