  113. His people destroyed, his followers put to the torch, Versck is now a leader of nothing more than ghosts and shadows. It was all going so well, too. Having rallied his goblins forth to seize control of their tribe, he whipped them into a frenzy to reclaim what was rightfully theirs: the surface. But the raid went bad and their return worse, the wounded warriors who had managed to survive were captured by the deposed leader's son. Versck, now faced with exile to his "precious surface" (and a missing arm, although that was getting off light) for his crimes, vows that next time will be different. If the surfacers enjoyed their sun so much, perhaps they should get acquainted with what the goblins have to deal with below...
